What does it involve?
Frozen Shoulder
- Medical term known as ‘Adhesive Capsulitis’
- Commonly presents in 40~60 yrs old and more prevalent among women (70%). (Sheridan et al, 2006)
- In basic terms, it means that your shoulder pain and stiffness is a result of shoulder capsule inflammation and fibrotic adhesions that limit your shoulder movement.
Symptoms:
These movement lets you feel restricted or painful
- Shoulder forward movement (reaching to overhead movement)
- Shoulder sideway movement (difficulty in combing hair, reaching to take car ticket out of car window)
- Hand behind back (difficulty in hooking bra)
- Painful to sleep on frozen shoulder side
