â–¸ Fasting Blood This test tells you how much sugar you have circulating in your body. Higher sugar (glucose) predisposes you to diabetes. If this test is taken alongside a blood test for HbA1C – it can help to diagnose diabetes. â–¸ Haemoglobin A1C This tests helps diagnose diabetes, prediabetes when done alongside glucose levels. It can also guide patients already on existing diabetes sugar-lowering medications.. |
â–¸ Lipid This is an in depth test showing levels of various cholesterols and fatty acids in your blood. High cholesterol predisposes to heart disease, stroke and diabetes. This test is also helpful to guide patients on existing cholesterol lowering medication – to gauge if they are on adequate medication. |
▸ Liver Function Profile This test gives an overview of liver function: highlighting your body's nutrition status, protein content, liver enzyme function and ability to excrete your body's toxins and waste. It detects any early signs of liver dysfunction. |

What do I do with the results?
A full comprehensive report with complete tests breakdown will be made available in soft and hard copy within 24-48 hours. Any abnormalities or discrepancies will be highlighted. You will then be offered the opportunity to see a medical specialist who will review the results with you within 24 hours of receiving your report.
Terms and conditions
Fasting : please fast for 10 hours prior to your blood test. No food or drinks are allowed, however water is permitted.
Women : for more accurate results, it is recommended that you do this test 3 days before or 3 days after menstruation.
