The Covid-19 Test will be conducted by using Real Time Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction Test (RT-PCR) certified by Ministry of Health.
The RT-PCR Test is done by using the Nasopharyngeal and Oropharyngeal swabs type of the sample within 14 days of last documented contact – to collect on first encounter. It takes about 5 minutes to be screened by certified medical staff. Test results takes about 24 hours.
The PCR-Test has an accuracy & sensitivity of 99.7% and specificity of 100% in early detection of Covid-19.
Remarks : As recommended by Pusat Kesihatan Daerah(PKD), we encourage the employees to take the Covid-19 test the again on the 13th day to obtain a double negative confirmation.
